Single-family house

A house designed as a refuge.

This project consists of a newly built single-family house in Madrid, conceived as a serene, luminous space, deeply connected to the surrounding nature. The house is conceived as a place of calm, where architecture, materials and light work together to create a balanced and welcoming atmosphere.

The house is organized in three independent volumes: a central body of cubic geometry for the main house, a linear block on two levels for parking and a viewpoint towards Monte del Pardo, and a third more intimate volume that houses a gazebo with a pergola in front of the swimming pool.

The entire complex is enveloped by a skin of handmade brick in sand tone and lime mortar, which unifies the architecture and reinforces its integration into the environment.

A heart of oak.

One of the main axes of the project is the homogeneous use of bleached oak wood with ivory patina in practically the entire house. This material is applied on walls, doors, stairs and some ceilings, creating a continuous, warm and minimalist atmosphere.

The wood dialogues with the white cement floors and the limewash walls in bone tone, building a serene, luminous and timeless material language.

Custom carpentry as part of the architecture.

Practically all the doors of the house were custom-made in our facilities, with a very special feature: they rotate 180º and go from floor to ceiling, which reinforces the visual continuity of the spaces and reduces visual noise, providing a sense of order and calm.

These solutions turn carpentry into another architectural element, naturally integrated into the project as a whole.

An architecture conceived from the interior structure.

The house is organized around an internal structure in the shape of a cross, designed by Tuñón y Albornoz Arquitectos. This structure connects all the rooms both vertically and horizontally, allowing a fluid circulation, a great efficiency in the use of space and, at the same time, guaranteeing the privacy of each room.

Furniture designed exclusively for the house.

The furniture was designed and handcrafted in our factories, using noble materials and completely customized solutions. Each piece was conceived specifically for this house, ensuring a unique result and perfectly integrated into the architecture and interior design.

Our teams were also in charge of the installation, taking care of every detail of the process up to the final result.
